Gotta love the snarky blogs out there, like The Chief, Supah, and The Daily Dribbles.
Today is Thank You Very Much Thursday on the Daily Dribbles. Chief is pretty much forcing us all to post there. She's pushy that way. So here's my entry:
Dear Neighborhood,
Seems that once again, you've been pigging out too much. WAY too much. I know this because for 90 minutes straight, there were large amounts of poop-pee-slush overflowing through our basement floor drain because of a clogged sewage pipe on the corner of 9th and Ridge. Yeah, you know the corner! Don't act like you didn't see the friggin' trucks trying to unclog the pipe you all clogged up! And who's eating all the CORN???
Yes, dh and I scooped our little behinds off in order to save our basement from being saturated with your overflow. I even broke a sweat and used muscles I never knew I had. I know this because they still hurt and it's Thursday. We could hardly keep up. AND we could hardly keep from hurling, either.
Turns out the handy little valve that most peeps have in their basement floor drain is mysteriously missing from ours. Perhaps it was sucked into the sewage abyss last year when the same exact thing happened?
Please, I'm begging you. Have you no self control??? Lay off the cheese. Turn down that 9th piece of pizza. Say no to the adorable girl scouts who are peddling their wares. Skip those midnight snacks. For goodness sakes people! Have a little self respect!!!
